2017 Arizona Science Bowl Event Information

What is it?

The Arizona Science Bowl is the most exciting science and math competition in the nation! The Department of Energy’s National Science Bowl® for middle and high school students is regionally organized in Arizona by members of the Arizona Technology Council Foundation and local community leaders. The Arizona Science Bowl consists of several question and answer matches in a Round Robin and Double Elimination tournament. Winners of this event advance to the National Science Bowl® Competition in Washington, D.C.

The competition is opening for viewing to the public. Come join us and support the student participants!

Date & Times

  • The Science Bowl for Middle School students is Saturday, February 4, 2017
  • Team Check-in times are from 8:30 – 9:00 AM
  • Opening Program begins at 9:00 AM


  • ASU West Campus – Meet at La Sala located in the UCB Building 
  • The Opening Ceremony will begin at 9 AM in La Sala (UCB)
  • Competition will take place in the Sands Building starting at 10 AM
  • Afternoon Announcements will happen in La Sala located in the UCB Building around 2 PM
