Registration for the 2020 Science Bowl Events Begins October 1, 2019
The Arizona Science Bowl is a regional event of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Science Bowl®, a nationwide academic competition. The Science Bowl tests students’ knowledge in all areas of science and mathematics. Middle and high school student teams from diverse backgrounds are comprised of four students, one alternate, and a teacher who serves as an advisor and coach. These teams face-off in a fast-paced question-and-answer format, being tested on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, Earth science, physics, energy, and math.
The registration fee for the Arizona Science Bowl is $45 per team. Once team approvals have been complete, we will get in touch with teams to arrange for payment. Register now here:
Team Approval Process
Teams are approved on a first-come, first-served basis determined by the date/time stamp when the registration is submitted, with first teams taking precedence over second teams, and second teams taking precedence over third teams, with the goal of having as many different schools participating as possible.
Eligible first teams will be approved by the regional coordinator to participate as soon as possible after registering. Beginning 5 weeks prior to the regional event and space permitting, eligible second teams will be approved by the regional coordinator to participate. Beginning 3 weeks prior to the regional event and space permitting, eligible third teams will be approved by the regional coordinator to participate.
