2019 Arizona Science Bowl Information

 

The Arizona Science Bowl is the most unique and exciting STEM competition there is! The competition consists of school teams from throughout the state. The teams are four students, one alternate, and a teacher who serves as a coach. Together, they face-off in fast-paced question and answer rounds and tested on a range of science disciplines.

The high school question categories are: Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Energy, Mathematics, and Physics.

The middle school question categories are: Life Science, Physical Science, Earth and Space Science, Energy, Mathematics, and General Science.

Winners of this regional Science Bowl will advance to the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C.

Teams may register here beginning October 1, 2018

Who Can Compete

  • The competition is open to teams from throughout the State of Arizona
  • Must be school-based teams of 4-5 students and a coach. No homeschool teams may participate.
  • Teams pre-register starting Monday, October 1, 2018 to compete

The competition is opening for viewing to the public. Come join us and support the student participants!

  • Team Check-in times are from 8:30 – 9:00 AM
  • Opening Program Locations:
    • High School Science Bowl on Saturday, February 23, 2019 – Meet in the Sun Devil Fitness Center
    • Middle School Science Bowl on Saturday, March 9, 2019 – Meet in La Sala located within the UCB Building
  • The Competition will take place in the Sands Building starting at 10 AM
